Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

- Monitor and assess patient conditions, noting any changes and communicating them to the healthcare team.

- Provide emergency support and interventions as needed, ensuring quick and effective responses to critical situations.

- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with established protocols.

- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation for each patient.

- Support families by providing information, education, and emotional support regarding their child's condition and care.

- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.

- Participate in continuous professional development and training to keep skills and knowledge current.

- Assist in the orientation and mentorship of current staff and nursing students.
