Responsibilities

- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients as per prescriptions.

- Provide drug information and advice on medication usage, dosage, and side effects to patients and healthcare professionals.

- Manage inventory, ensuring medications are stored properly and stock levels are maintained.

- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.

- Verify and review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing.

- Assist in the preparation and compounding of medications as required.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medication dispensed and patient interactions.

- Ensure compliance with all legal and hospital regulations regarding pharmacy operations.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to pharmacy department meetings.

- Assist in training and mentoring junior pharmacy staff and interns.
