Role: PeopleSoft HCM Functional Consultant – Absences & India Payroll

Working Shift: US customer. So, overlap of 4 hours expected. Candidate is expected to work till 11pm IST

Summary

Experienced PeopleSoft HCM Functional Consultant with solid functional expertise in Absences & India Payroll. (minimum 2 with India Payroll being a priority)

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the full PeopleSoft HCM implementation lifecycle: discovery, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Configure and support PeopleSoft Core HR, including person data, job data, positions, departments, locations, organizations, employment lifecycle events, and workforce administration processes.
- Configure PeopleSoft Absence Management, including absence takes, entitlement rules, accruals,



calendars, eligibility, forecasting, and payroll integration.
- Configure and support PeopleSoft India Payroll / Global Payroll for India, including pay groups, pay entities, earnings, deductions, taxes, statutory contributions, retroactive processing, off-cycle payroll, and bank payments.
- Ensure compliance with Indian statutory payroll requirements, including Income Tax/TDS, Provident Fund, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, gratuity, bonus, and statutory reporting.
- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document current and future-state processes, and identify fit-gap items.
- Prepare functional design documents, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, user stories, process flows, and training materials.
- Work closely with technical teams on integrations, reports, conversions, interfaces, extensions, and customizations.
- Support integration between Core HR, Absence Management, India Payroll, Finance, banks, and third-party vendors where applicable.
- Plan and execute unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, parallel payroll runs, and defect resolution.
- Support data migration and validation for employee, job, absence, payroll, and statutory data.
- Provide functional guidance during cutover, go-live, hypercare, and ongoing production support.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR and payroll processes, reduce manual work, and improve controls and reporting.
- Have awareness of PeopleSoft HCM updates, PUM images, patches, and changes in Indian payroll legislation.
