About the Role:

Vastu Vihar Biotech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Pathologist to support pathological evaluation associated with our preclinical research and drug development programs.

As a Pathologist You will be responsible for the examination and interpretation of pathological specimens, histopathological evaluation, identification of pathological changes, and preparation and review of comprehensive pathology reports. The role involves close collaboration with preclinical scientists, pharmacologists, veterinarians, molecular biologists, and research teams to evaluate tissue-level effects of investigational compounds, drugs, and therapeutic candidates.

you should have expertise in pathological interpretation, histopathology, lesion identification, disease-associated and treatment-related changes, and the ability to correlate pathological findings with clinical, biochemical, hematological, and other study observations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and support pathological and histopathological evaluation for preclinical and experimental research studies.
- Examine and interpret tissue specimens and histological sections to identify pathological, inflammatory, degenerative, proliferative, necrotic, and treatment-related changes.
- Evaluate tissues from laboratory animal studies, particularly mice and rats, and assess the severity, distribution, progression, and significance of observed lesions.
- Conduct microscopic examination and provide scientific interpretation of pathological findings.




- Correlate pathological findings with clinical observations, hematology, biochemistry, organ weights, molecular findings, and other study parameters.
- Identify and interpret drug-induced, disease-associated, and treatment-related pathological changes in preclinical studies.
- Prepare, review, and validate pathology reports, study reports, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and data integrity.

Required Qualification:

- MD/DNB in Pathology preferred.
- Candidates with M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Pathology or a closely related discipline may also be considered based on relevant experience.
- Strong practical experience in pathology, histopathology, and preclinical research will be preferred.

Required Experience:

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Pathology, Histopathology, Veterinary Pathology, Preclinical Research, CRO, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or related research environments.
- Experience in preclinical toxicology, pharmacology, drug development, or laboratory animal studies will be an added advantage.
