About The Role The OT Security Architect is a critical role within our organization, responsible for reviewing, assessing, and enhancing the security architecture of both IT and Operational Technology (OT) solutions. This role spans across on-premises, cloud, and integrated environments, ensuring that all systems adhere to industry standards, security best practices, and hardening guidelines.

The OT Security Architect plays a vital part in supporting project teams during the design and build phases, ensuring security-by-design principles are integrated from the outset. The position also involves adapting security controls to meet the unique operational constraints and risk profiles inherent to OT environments. Additionally, the role promotes secure development practices throughout the entire lifecycle and contributes to improving technical documentation standards, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated thought leadership and a comprehensive understanding of security practices in both OT and IT domains are essential.





Prior experience with cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure, and a solid grasp of cloud security principles are highly desirable. Candidates should have practical knowledge of security controls for on-premises infrastructure, including system hardening, network segmentation, identity management, and logging.

Experience in reviewing integrations and APIs for secure authentication and data protection is also required. A strong understanding of application security and secure development principles is necessary to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive security architecture reviews for new and existing solutions, including infrastructure, cloud services, applications, and integrations.
- Assess and validate security controls such as authentication mechanisms, encryption protocols, logging, and secure API integration to ensure they meet security standards.
- Identify potential security risks and advise mitigation strategies to ensure solutions are protected before deployment.
- Provide security advisory support to project teams during the design and build phases, ensuring the application of security-by-design principles.
- Review and evaluate integration points, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms to ensure secure data handling and external connectivity.
- Evaluate security measures tailored to the operational constraints and risk profiles specific to OT environments, recommending appropriate controls.




- Promote secure coding practices and application security controls, ensuring secure handling of data within applications and services.
- Assist teams in producing clear, accurate technical architecture documentation, including diagrams and best practices.
- Provide guidance, tools, or automation solutions to enhance documentation quality and security awareness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure security concepts are effectively communicated and understood.
- Maintain awareness of emerging security threats and industry trends, incorporating relevant updates into security architectures.
