We are looking for an experienced L2 Resident Engineer – Nutanix HCI to provide on-site technical support and administration at the Data Centre in Chennai. The engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and maintenance of the Nutanix HCI environment.

The selected candidate will be required to work closely with the Bank's IT/infrastructure team and support Data Centre/Disaster Recovery operations, drills, troubleshooting, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform day-to-day administration and management of the Nutanix HCI environment.
- Monitor HCI infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of the HCI environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve L2 incidents related to Nutanix HCI, virtualization, compute, storage, and associated infrastructure.
- Manage and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems in the HCI environment.
- Provide support for storage and backup administration.
- Monitor alerts, events, cluster health, capacity utilization, and system performance.




- Coordinate with OEM/vendor support for complex issues requiring L3/OEM intervention.
- Perform preventive maintenance and support firmware/software upgrades as required.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, changes, configurations, and operational activities.
- Maintain updated HCI hardware and software inventory.
- Participate in Data Centre (DC) / Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and support recovery activities.
- Assist in capacity planning, configuration reviews, and infrastructure optimization.
- Follow the Bank's IT security, operational, change-management, and incident-management procedures.
- Prepare and maintain periodic operational reports as required by the Bank.
- Provide in office support at the Chennai Data Centre during the prescribed working hours.
