Key Responsibilities:-

1. Hospital Operations

- Supervise overall hospital operations during the assigned shift.

- Ensure smooth functioning of OPD, IPD, Emergency, OT and other operational areas.

- Monitor patient admissions, transfers and discharges.

- Ensure adequate staffing and availability of essential resources.

- Conduct regular rounds of hospital areas and identify operational gaps.

1. Patient &
- Attendant Services

- Address patient and attendant complaints and service-related concerns.

- Coordinate with concerned departments for timely resolution of issues.

- Ensure a professional, respectful and patient-focused environment.

- Escalate serious complaints to senior management when required.

1. Staff &
- Department Coordination

- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, front office, billing, pharmacy, housekeeping, security, engineering and other support departments.

- Monitor staff discipline, attendance and availability during the shift.

- Ensure effective communication between departments.

- Conduct shift briefings and ensure proper handover to the next shift.

1. Emergency &
- Escalation Management

- Act as the operational coordinator during emergencies and critical incidents.

- Immediately inform the appropriate doctor/senior management regarding critical situations.





- Coordinate with security, nursing, emergency and other departments during incidents.

- Ensure hospital emergency and safety protocols are followed.

1. Quality, Safety &
- Compliance

- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, infection-control procedures, patient-safety requirements and applicable quality standards.

- Monitor cleanliness, security, safety and service readiness.

- Identify process gaps and recommend corrective actions.

- Support NABH/quality initiatives and internal audits where applicable.

1. Facility &
- Support Services

- Monitor housekeeping, security, maintenance, biomedical equipment and other support services.

- Ensure essential services and infrastructure remain operational.

- Report breakdowns, shortages or safety hazards promptly.

- Coordinate with vendors/service teams when required.

1. Reporting &
- Documentation

- Maintain the daily MOD/shift report.

- Record complaints, incidents, emergencies and corrective actions.

- Monitor significant operational issues and pending tasks.

- Provide complete shift handover to the incoming MOD/management.

- Escalate significant incidents to senior management without delay.
