Position - Network Engineer – L2

Job Location: Delhi

Salary: 35,000 per month in hand + other benefits

Languages: Tamil & Malayalam – Mandatory

Key Responsibilities & Skills

1. Robust knowledge of EPON & GPON technology, including OLT, ONU/ONT and PON architecture.
2. OLT configuration, ONU registration, provisioning, profiles and service configuration.
3. VLAN configuration, tagging/untagging, trunk/access ports and troubleshooting.
4. Optical fiber troubleshooting: RX/TX power, LOS, splitter loss, fiber faults and basic OTDR.
5. ONT/ONU configuration including PPPoE, DHCP, Wi-Fi, LAN and bridge/router modes.
6. PPPoE server/client, authentication and ISP connectivity troubleshooting.
7. Routing concepts including VLAN, DHCP, NAT, firewall, routing, queues and PPPoE.
8. ONU/ONT troubleshooting: registration failure,



intermittent disconnections, low optical power and speed issues.
9. Knowledge of OMCI & TR-069, ONT management, remote configuration and ACS troubleshooting.
10. Network troubleshooting using Ping, Traceroute, ARP, MAC, DNS and packetloss/bandwidth analysis. 11. Coordinate with NOC, field teams and ISP teams to resolve L2/L3 network issues.

Experience

- 2–3 years of relevant experience in ISP/FTTH/network operations. • Hands-on experience with GPON/EPON, OLT, ONT/ONU and ISP networking preferred.

Language Requirement • Tamil – Mandatory • Malayalam – Mandatory English/Hindi communication is an added advantage.
