About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior L3 Network Operations Engineer specializing in Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, and Zscaler to join our dynamic NOC team. In this critical role, you will serve as an escalation point for complex network incidents, providing expert-level troubleshooting and support for our enterprise-grade network infrastructure.

Reporting functionally to the NOC Lead L3 Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining service stability, guiding L2 engineers during investigations, and ensuring rapid resolution of critical incidents. This position is primarily focused on supporting our EMEA operations during standard business hours, with occasional participation in weekend or overnight activities to manage major incidents or planned maintenance activities.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of hands-on experience in network operations, with proven expertise in enterprise routing, switching, SD-WAN, and Zscaler environments. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, or equivalent are highly desirable.





Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management, and experience working with ITSM tools like ServiceNow is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, and experience handling complex production incidents under SLA constraints. Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS), automation scripting (Python, PowerShell), and monitoring tools (Zabbix, SolarWinds) will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Serve as an escalation point for complex incidents related to network, SD-WAN, and Zscaler services, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Identify incident sources across endpoints, network devices, firewalls, ISPs, SD-WAN, and Zscaler components, supporting root cause analysis.
- Lead and support advanced troubleshooting activities, guiding L2 engineers through technical investigations and resolution steps.
- Manage and coordinate incident response efforts during P1 and P2 cases, ensuring adherence to SLAs and communication protocols.
- Conduct detailed analysis of network performance metrics, device logs, and routing tables to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, service providers,



and clients to facilitate incident resolution and service improvement initiatives.
- Support change management activities, including validation, maintenance windows, and post-change troubleshooting.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for major and recurring incidents, contributing to process improvements and operational documentation.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles to enhance team capabilities.
- Monitor network health, availability, and performance, proactively identifying potential issues before they impact services.
