nWe are looking for experienced and proactive MS-SQL L1 & L2 Database Engineers with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to join our core database infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining database health, monitoring performance, performing backup/recovery operations, and delivering end-to-end production support in a 24x7 operational environment.

nKey Responsibilities

- Database Administration &

• Maintenance:

n
- Perform day-to-day administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of MS-SQL Server instances across production, staging, and development environments.
n
- Execute routine database maintenance tasks including index defragmentation, index rebuilding, and statistics updates.
n
- Troubleshooting &

• Incident Management:

n
- Serve as L1/L2 escalation point to handle database incidents, performance issues, and user requests.
n
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for database outages and performance bottlenecks.
n
- Monitor and resolve blocking, deadlocks, connectivity issues, and query performance problems.
n
- Monitoring &

• Alerts:

n
- Proactively monitor database health, CPU/memory usage, disk space utilization, and SQL Server logs.
n




- Respond promptly to automated system alerts and take necessary corrective actions to ensure high availability.
n
- Backup, Recovery &

• Security:

n
- Implement, manage, and regularly test backup strategies (full, differential, transaction log) and point-in-time recovery processes.
n
- Manage user access, database roles, permissions, and security configurations in adherence to compliance standards.
n
- Production Support &

• Operations:

n
- Provide 24x7 shift-based production support to maintain maximum uptime and operational continuity.
n
- Execute database deployment tasks, schema changes, script executions, and database migrations during planned maintenance windows.

nKey Technical &

• Qualified Qualifications

n

n
- Core Technical Skills:
n
- Strong expertise in MS-SQL Server Administration (SQL Server 2012/2016/2017/2019/2022).
n
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server agent jobs, backup/restore procedures, and database consistency checks (DBCC).
n
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, and Clustering) is preferred.
n
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting for administrative automation and operational reporting.
n
- General Requirements:
n
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in MS-SQL Server Database Administration.
n
- Proven experience working in a 24x7 production support environment with rotational shifts.
n
- Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills for coordinating with multi-disciplinary IT teams.
n
- Willingness to work on Partner Payroll and report on-site at the Andheri, Mumbai office.
