Role Description The Metrology Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Salem.

The Metrology

Engineer will be responsible for planning, performing, and documenting calibration of measuring instruments and gauges used in production and quality control. Daily activities include setting up and operating metrology equipment, analyzing measurement data, troubleshooting measurement issues, and recommending corrective actions. The role involves developing and maintaining measurement procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and supporting internal audits related to measurement systems.

Engineer will collaborate with production, quality,



and maintenance teams to improve measurement reliability and support new product and process development. The position also includes maintaining calibration records, managing instrument traceability, and training team members on proper measurement practices.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge and practical experience in Metrology and Calibration for industrial measuring instruments.
- Solid foundation in Physics and Optics to understand measurement principles and equipment behavior.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for interpreting measurement data, identifying trends, and resolving discrepancies.
- Experience with dimensional measurement tools, gauges, and standards (e.g., micrometers, CMM, vernier calipers, height gauges) is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO standards related to measurement and calibration, and basic understanding of quality management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, with attention to safety, accuracy, and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
