VendiHalt designs, deploys, and operates smart vending machines across India. The company is also developing locally manufactured vending-machine hardware and warehouse facilities for storage, refurbishment, inventory management, and distribution.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, prototyping, manufacturing, installation, and troubleshooting of vending machines, along with warehouse planning and execution.

The role is suited for a practical, hands-on engineer who can work closely with vendors, contractors, technicians, and field teams.

Extensive PAN-India travel is mandatory. Candidates whose hometown is Kanpur and who are willing to work from Delhi NCR will be preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Design & Product Development

- Design vending-machine cabinets, trays, doors, frames, and dispensing mechanisms.
- Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Select appropriate materials and components while improving durability, serviceability, weight, and cost.
- Develop customised vending-machine configurations for different products and site requirements.

Prototype Development & Testing
- Coordinate fabrication and assembly of prototypes.
- Conduct dispensing, stability, endurance, alignment, and functional testing.
- Identify design and performance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain test reports, design revisions, and engineering records.
- Evaluate imported machines and components for potential localisation and improvement.

Manufacturing & Vendor Development
- Coordinate manufacturing processes including laser cutting, bending, welding, machining, powder coating, and component fabrication.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, drawings, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Evaluate and compare vendor quotations.
- Develop and maintain reliable manufacturing and fabrication vendors.
- Inspect fabricated components and support pilot production.
- Develop simple jigs, fixtures, and assembly procedures where required.

Warehouse Design & Execution
- Plan and execute warehouses, refurbishment centres, and operational facilities.




- Prepare layouts for machine storage, products, spare parts, repair, testing, loading, and dispatch.
- Plan racks, workstations, utilities, ventilation, lighting, fire safety, and internal material movement.
- Prepare drawings, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate contractors and supervise execution, quality, budget, and timelines.
- Develop standard and scalable warehouse layouts that can be replicated across different cities.

Refrigeration & Thermal Systems
- Support the selection and integration of refrigeration systems for cold vending machines.
- Evaluate airflow, insulation, cooling performance, condensation, and energy efficiency.
- Support troubleshooting of refrigeration and thermal-performance issues.

Electronics & Software Integration
- Coordinate the mechanical integration and mounting of motors, sensors, controllers, displays, payment systems, and telemetry devices.
- Ensure appropriate wiring routes, ventilation, component accessibility, and maintenance access.
- Work closely with electrical and software teams during machine integration.

Quality Control & Field Support
- Prepare inspection checklists and quality-control procedures.
- Investigate recurring machine and warehouse-related failures.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support machine installation, maintenance, servicing, and major repair activities.
- Inspect warehouse execution and coordinate rectification of defects.

Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain engineering drawings, BOMs, BOQs, specifications, test reports, and project records.
- Prepare assembly, maintenance, installation, and site-execution documentation.
- Support compliance with applicable mechanical, electrical, fire-safety, and BIS requirements.

Travel Requirements
- Extensive PAN-India travel is mandatory.




- Travel may be required at short notice for vendor visits, warehouse execution, installation, inspection, and troubleshooting.
- Candidates must be comfortable with extended site assignments and field-based work.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Diploma holders with solid practical experience may also be considered.

Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in sheet-metal products, vending machines, refrigeration, warehouse development, manufacturing, or site execution will be preferred.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Creo, or similar CAD software .
- Strong understanding of sheet-metal design, fabrication, tolerances, materials, BOMs, and BOQs.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration systems, electrical integration, warehouse utilities, and project execution.
