Department: Service & Workshop

Reports To: Workshop Manager / Service Head

Job Purpose :-

To perform advanced diagnostics, complex mechanical and electrical repairs, and quality audits on 4-wheel vehicles (ICE, Hybrid, and EV) while providing technical mentorship to workshop technicians and ensuring maximum first-time-fix (FTF) rates.

Key Responsibilities :-

1. Diagnose and repair complex issues on MG vehicles.
2. Perform advanced maintenance and repair services, including electrical and mechanical systems.
3. Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
4. Conduct vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports.
5. Mentor and train junior technicians.
6. Stay updated on MG technical bulletins, service procedures, and recent technologies.
7. Ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards.

Qualifications : Diploma/Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Vocational Technical Certification.

Experience:





5–8+ years of hands-on dealership/service center experience in 4-wheeler repair, with at least 2–3 years as a Senior/Level-3 Technician.

Licensing: Valid driver's license (4-wheeler) with a clean driving record.

Technincal Certifications (Preferred/Required)

- ASE Master Automobile Technician Certification (or regional equivalent brand/OEM Master Certification).
- High-Voltage / Electric Vehicle (EV) Safety Level 3/4 Certification.

Technincal Competencies

- Deep expertise in modern petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicle architectures.
- High proficiency with ECU flashing, oscilloscope measurement, OBD-II scanners, and multimeter diagnostics.
- Mastery in reading complex wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
- Clear technical communication skills (written and verbal).
- Leadership, patience, and teaching ability for junior technicians.
