Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and caring Marathi Teacher for Primary Section who can build strong foundational Marathi language skills among young learners. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons that develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities while fostering an appreciation for Marathi language and culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct engaging Marathi lessons for students in Grades I–V in alignment with the school's curriculum and CBSE framework.
- Develop students' foundational skills in:
- Marathi अक्षरज्ञान and vocabulary
- Reading and comprehension
- Writing and handwriting
- Grammar and sentence formation
- Listening and speaking
- Poetry, stories, and basic literature
- Use activity-based, play-based, and experiential teaching methods appropriate for primary learners.
- Make learning engaging through stories, poems, songs, rhymes, games, role plays, flashcards, worksheets, and age-appropriate digital resources.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Support students in developing correct pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence formation, and communication skills.
- Conduct regular formative assessments to monitor students' learning and progress.
- Maintain records of students' academic performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify students who need additional support and provide suitable remedial or differentiated instruction.
- Encourage students to participate in Marathi reading, storytelling, recitation, handwriting, essay,



and other language-related activities.
- Introduce students to Marathi literature, traditions, festivals, and cultural values in an age-appropriate manner.
- Create a safe, inclusive, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas requiring support.
- Collaborate with class teachers and other subject teachers for integrated and interdisciplinary activities.
- Participate in school assemblies, celebrations, exhibitions, competitions, field trips, and other co-curricular activities.
- Attend staff meetings, teacher-training programmes, workshops, and skilled-development activities.
- Maintain classroom discipline while using positive and child-friendly approaches.
- Perform other academic and school-related responsibilities assigned by the Primary Coordinator or Principal.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marathi / Marathi Literature or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. / D.Ed. / D.El.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred.
- Relevant primary-teaching qualification as applicable to the school's recruitment requirements.
- Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum and competency-based learning will be an advantage.

Experience
- 1–3 years of experience teaching Marathi at the primary-school level preferred.
- Candidates with strong subject knowledge and relevant teaching qualifications may be considered even with limited experience.




- Experience in a CBSE or English-medium school will be an advantage.
