Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Manager Supply Chain to lead and drive end-to-end supply chain operations across demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling, supplier performance, inventory management, SIOP, and delivery execution.
The role requires strong experience in the automobile, construction machinery, heavy equipment, or engineering manufacturing industry, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and suppliers while ensuring high levels of customer service, optimum inventory, and supply continuity.
The ideal candidate should be data-driven and technology-oriented, with hands-on knowledge of Advanced Excel, SAP and/or Infor LN, Power BI, and emerging AI-based tools for supply chain analytics and planning.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Supply Chain Management
- Lead the complete supply chain planning and execution cycle from demand to customer delivery.
- Establish robust planning processes covering demand, supply, production, materials, inventory, and logistics.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements, customer demand, production capacity, supplier capability, and inventory.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop proactive mitigation and contingency plans.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes, systems, and performance.
2. Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the development of short-, medium-, and long-term demand plans.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Product teams to validate market and customer demand.
- Analyze historical demand, forecast accuracy, customer schedules, market trends, and business growth plans.
- Establish processes to improve forecast accuracy and demand visibility.
- Identify significant demand fluctuations and assess their impact on capacity, inventory, and supplier requirements.
3. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Lead Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and production planning activities.
- Ensure production schedules are aligned with customer demand, capacity, manpower, tooling, and material availability.
- Monitor production plan adherence and take corrective actions for deviations.
- Optimize production sequencing and capacity utilization.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams to resolve constraints.
4. Supplier Management & OTIF
- Drive supplier delivery performance with transparent OTIF / OTD targets.
- Establish supplier performance monitoring and review mechanisms.
- Lead escalation and recovery plans for critical supplier shortages and delays.
- Work closely with Procurement and suppliers to improve delivery reliability and responsiveness.
- Identify strategic supply risks, capacity constraints, single-source dependencies, and long-lead-time components.
- Develop supplier risk mitigation and business continuity plans.
- Drive reduction of material shortages and production line stoppages.
5. SIOP / Integrated Business Planning
- Own and lead the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process.
- Establish a structured monthly SIOP cycle involving Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Present demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and financial scenarios to senior management.
- Identify gaps between demand and supply and drive cross-functional action plans.
- Develop what-if scenarios for capacity expansion, supplier constraints, demand changes, and inventory strategies.
- Ensure SIOP decisions are translated into executable operational plans.
6. Inventory & Working Capital Management
- Define and implement inventory strategies across raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
- Optimize safety stocks, reorder parameters, MOQ, lead times, and inventory policies.
- Drive reduction of excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
- Improve inventory turns while maintaining required customer service levels.
- Partner with Finance to achieve working-capital improvement targets.

ERP & Digital Supply Chain
- Drive effective utilization of SAP and/or Infor LN for demand planning, MRP, inventory, production planning, purchasing, and supply chain execution.
- Ensure planning master data, BOMs, lead times, planning parameters, and inventory data are accurate.
- Lead ERP-driven process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to integrate ERP, BI, analytics, and digital planning solutions.
8. Power BI & Supply Chain Analytics
- Develop and deploy Power BI dashboards for management and operational reviews.
- Establish real-time visibility of key supply chain KPIs.
- Build dashboards covering:
- Supplier OTIF / OTD
- Demand vs. supply
- Production plan adherence
- Inventory and inventory turns
- Material shortages
- Customer delivery performance
- Forecast accuracy
- Excess & obsolete inventory
- Capacity utilization
- Use data analytics to identify trends, risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
9. AI & Supply Chain Transformation
- Promote the adoption of AI and advanced analytics within supply chain planning and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to use AI for:
- Demand forecasting
- Supply risk prediction
- Inventory optimization
- Supplier performance analysis
- Shortage prediction
- Scenario planning
- Automated reporting and insights
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies that can improve planning accuracy, productivity, and decision-making.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to create a more data-driven and AI-ready supply chain organization.
10. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop the Supply Chain / Planning team.
- Establish clear objectives, KPIs, review mechanisms, and accountability.
- Build strong collaboration with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics.
- Conduct regular management reviews and communicate key risks and action plans.
- Develop team capabilities in planning, analytics, digital tools, and supply chain best practices.
- Manage critical escalations and ensure timely resolution of supply chain issues.
