Role & responsibilities

- Lead the overall Quality function for fabrication and manufacturing operations.

- Manage quality activities related to Sheet Metal Fabrication, Bending, Pressing, Welding and Assembly processes.

- Establish and monitor Quality KPIs including Customer PPM, Internal Rejection, Rework, Scrap, FPY, COPQ and Customer Complaints.

- Ensure effective implementation of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC and 8D methodologies.

- Review and maintain Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions and Inspection Standards.

- Drive Root Cause Analysis, CAPA and Corrective Actions for internal and customer quality issues.

- Handle Customer Complaints, coordinate containment actions and ensure timely closure of 8D reports.

- Drive reduction of rejection, rework, scrap and customer PPM through continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure effective Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection systems.

- Monitor fabrication and welding quality, including weld parameters, weld defects, inspection standards and process compliance.

- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications,



quality standards and special characteristics.

- Lead Process Audits, Product Audits, Layered Process Audits and System Audits.

- Coordinate with Production, NPD, Engineering, Maintenance, Purchase and SCM for resolution of quality issues.

- Lead Quality activities for Recent Product Development, APQP, Trial Runs, PPAP and Mass Production Readiness.

- Ensure effective implementation of 4M Change Management and Abnormality Management.

- Drive Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, Quality Circle, 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

- Manage Supplier Quality, including supplier evaluation, audits, quality improvement and supplier PPM reduction.

- Ensure calibration and control of gauges, measuring instruments and testing equipment.

- Prepare and present Daily / Weekly / Monthly Quality MIS to management.

- Lead Customer, Certification and External Audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.

- Develop and mentor the Quality team through training, skill development and competency improvement.
