Preferred Profile

6–10 years of relevant experience in Category/Product Management, preferably in retail, consumer goods, home products or related categories.

Solid experience in category strategy, assortment planning, merchandising, pricing and promotions.

Hands-on experience in P&L; management, revenue targets and gross margin management.

Strong knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory planning and product availability management.

Ability to analyse market trends, consumer preferences, competition and category gaps.

Experience coordinating with buyers, merchandisers, marketing, sales, supply chain, cataloguing and finance/commercial teams.

Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills.

Ability to manage category growth initiatives and promotional activities.

Experience in supervising and mentoring merchandising/category operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute long-term category strategies and growth plans.

Drive category growth based on consumer needs,



market trends and competition.

Manage product assortment, ranging, pricing and promotions across channels.

Ensure product availability through effective demand planning and ordering.

Lead category management and merchandising initiatives.

Work closely with buyers and merchandisers to expand the category.

Prepare demand forecasts and maintain optimum inventory levels.

Manage category budgets, revenue targets and profitability.

Own the P&L; for the assigned category, including revenue and gross margins.

Identify market trends, category gaps and new business opportunities.

Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Cataloguing, Finance and Commercial teams.

Monitor inbound planning, cataloguing and discounting activities.

Plan and execute promotional and visibility initiatives with internal marketing teams and sellers.

Supervise and mentor merchandising/category operations.

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,800,000.00 per year
