Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Maintenance In-charge to take overall responsibility for plant maintenance activities in our glove manufacturing facility.

The position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical, mechanical, production-line, utility, civil, building, and general facility maintenance to ensure uninterrupted production, equipment reliability, workplace safety, and proper upkeep of the entire factory.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in industrial and electrical maintenance, with basic working knowledge of instrumentation and production-line equipment. A valid C Licence is mandatory.

The candidate should be capable of independently managing maintenance activities, supervising maintenance personnel, handling breakdowns, planning preventive maintenance, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring the overall maintenance condition of the factory.

Key Responsibilities1. Overall Plant Maintenance

- Take overall responsibility for all maintenance activities across the factory.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance work for electrical, mechanical, production-line, utility, civil, building, and facility areas.
- Ensure all plant equipment, machinery, infrastructure, and utilities are maintained in good working condition.
- Develop and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules.
- Minimize equipment breakdowns and production downtime through effective maintenance planning.
- Identify recurring maintenance issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain proper maintenance records, reports, checklists, and schedules.

1. Production Line & Process Equipment Maintenance

- Oversee maintenance of glove manufacturing production lines and related equipment.
- Coordinate with Production to attend breakdowns and restore machinery with minimum production interruption.
- Ensure regular inspection, preventive maintenance, lubrication, servicing, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
- Monitor the condition and performance of motors, pumps, conveyors, control systems, drives, panels, and other production-related equipment.
- Support installation, modification, commissioning, and improvement of production machinery and systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance-related downtime.

1. Electrical Maintenance

- Supervise and monitor electrical maintenance activities throughout the factory.
- Troubleshoot and maintain motors, control panels, starters, drives, electrical circuits, pumps, lighting systems, and three-phase systems.
- Monitor plant electrical distribution and ensure safe and reliable operation.




- Ensure timely rectification of electrical faults and breakdowns.
- Maintain electrical maintenance records and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate electrical inspections, testing, servicing, and external technical support when required.

1. Instrumentation & Control

- Handle and coordinate basic instrumentation and control-system maintenance.
- Troubleshoot basic sensors, switches, controllers, indicators, and related instrumentation used in production and utility systems.
- Coordinate with specialist technicians or external agencies for advanced instrumentation requirements.
- Ensure critical instrumentation and control systems are maintained and functioning properly.

1. Utility & Supporting Equipment

- Oversee maintenance of plant utility systems and supporting equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance of equipment such as compressors, pumps, water systems, boilers, generators, and other utility systems, as applicable.
- Ensure utility equipment is available and reliable to support continuous production.
- Monitor preventive maintenance and servicing requirements for utility equipment.

1. Civil & Building Maintenance

- Oversee civil and facility maintenance activities throughout the factory.
- Coordinate repairs and upkeep of factory buildings, floors, walls, roofs, drainage, doors, windows, pathways, and other infrastructure.
- Monitor maintenance of production areas, utility areas, offices, and employee facilities.
- Coordinate civil contractors and external agencies for repair and maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of civil maintenance requirements without affecting production activities.

1. Team Supervision & Coordination

- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, and other maintenance personnel.
- Allocate daily work and monitor completion of maintenance activities.
- Guide the maintenance team in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Stores, Purchase, HR and other departments.
- Coordinate with external contractors, service providers, and equipment vendors whenever required.
- Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and within the planned timeframe.

1. Spare Parts & Maintenance Planning

- Identify and communicate requirements for maintenance spares, consumables, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase for timely availability of critical maintenance materials.
- Monitor critical spare parts and ensure adequate availability of essential items.




- Maintain proper records of maintenance expenditure and major repair requirements.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with factory safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Ensure proper isolation, electrical safety, and safe working procedures during maintenance activities.
- Support statutory inspections, audits, and maintenance-related compliance requirements.
- Report major safety, equipment, or infrastructure concerns to management and take timely corrective action.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Valid C Licence – Mandatory.
- Approximately 8 years of overall experience in industrial maintenance.
- Strong experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
- Good practical knowledge of electrical maintenance.
- Basic working knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience in handling production-line / machinery maintenance.
- Experience in coordinating civil and facility maintenance activities.
- Hands-on experience in breakdown and preventive maintenance.
- Experience in supervising maintenance teams.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Candidate Profile Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Strong industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Experience handling overall plant maintenance, rather than only electrical maintenance.
- Strong electrical maintenance knowledge with basic instrumentation knowledge.
- Experience in production-line machinery maintenance.
- Experience supervising technicians and managing day-to-day maintenance activities.
- Exposure to utility equipment and factory infrastructure maintenance.
- Experience coordinating civil, electrical, mechanical, and general facility maintenance.
- A valid C Licence.
- Good practical and hands-on technical knowledge.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
