Role DescriptionPress Tech Engineering is looking for a Maintenance Engineer – Press Machines to be deployed at a client manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, on a 1-year contract basis.

The selected candidate will support the client's maintenance and production teams in the operation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of industrial press machines and related manufacturing equipment.

The role is suitable for candidates with 0–2 years of experience who are looking to build practical experience in industrial machinery and press-machine maintenance.

The candidate will be responsible for assisting with preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, machine inspections, troubleshooting, basic repairs, and maintenance documentation. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior maintenance personnel and coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure machines are available for production.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the maintenance of hydraulic, mechanical, and stamping press machines.
- Perform routine inspection of press machines and identify abnormal conditions.
- Support preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance activities.




- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
- Support breakdown maintenance and help restore machines to operating condition.
- Check components such as hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, lubrication systems, bearings, belts, and other machine components.
- Assist senior engineers and technicians during major machine repairs.
- Support press machine installation, dismantling, relocation, alignment, and commissioning activities when required.
- Maintain maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, service records, and daily activity reports.
- Coordinate with the production team regarding machine availability and maintenance requirements.
- Follow maintenance schedules and instructions provided by the client and senior engineers.
- Follow all site safety procedures, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and safe maintenance practices.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety around the machinery and work area.
- Report recurring machine problems and potential equipment failures to the senior maintenance team.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to machine reliability and downtime reduction.

Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in maintenance, machinery servicing, production maintenance, or a related field.




- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge and a strong interest in industrial machinery maintenance may also be considered.
- Basic knowledge of press machines, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, or industrial machinery.
- Basic understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, machine manuals, and maintenance instructions.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance is preferred.
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work on-site at Sriperumbudur.

Experience0–2 Years Candidates with internship or practical exposure to press machines, industrial machinery, manufacturing plants, automobile industries, production equipment, or maintenance activities are encouraged to apply.

Employment TypeContract – 1 Year The candidate will be employed/deployed through Press Tech Engineering for providing engineering manpower services at the client site.
