Role Overview:

The role involves managing end-to-end direct procurement for tractor components, ensuring timely availability of parts while optimizing cost, inventory, and supplier performance. The position requires strong analytical skills, ability to manage a large parts portfolio, and coordination with production, planning, and suppliers for seamless material flow.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management
- Manage procurement of 2000–3000 tractor components across categories such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, casting, forging, and sheet metal parts, as well as fabricated assemblies.
- Develop and maintain procurement schedules aligned with production plans and monthly/weekly MPS (Master Production Schedule).
- Ensure optimal safety stock, buffer stock, and reorder levels to avoid line stoppages and stockouts.
- Conduct ABC analysis to prioritize critical and high-value components for better control and planning.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and follow up proactively to ensure on-time material availability.
- Evaluate supplier performance metrics (OTD, quality, cost adherence) and drive improvement actions.
- Handle RFQs, cost negotiations, and purchase order issuance for direct materials.
- Coordinate with stores, production planning, and quality teams to resolve shortages, rejections, and supply disruptions.




- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans (alternate sourcing, expediting, safety stock adjustments).
- Track inventory levels, aging stock, and maintain healthy inventory turns.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and value engineering projects to optimize part-level costs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes, documentation, and audit requirements.
- Work with ERP/SAP for planning, PO management, and inventory tracking.

* Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Ability to manage high part complexity (2000–3000 SKUs) with robust organizational skills.
- Knowledge of inventory concepts such as safety stock, buffer stock, reorder levels, MOQ, and lead time optimization.
- Proficiency in ABC analysis, demand planning, and scheduling.
- Good communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong data interpretation skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems is preferred.

Educational Qualifications:

- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

- 2–6 years of experience in direct procurement/sourcing in the tractor, automotive, farm equipment, or heavy engineering industry.

Pay: ₹6.00 - ₹8.00 per year
