Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mechanical Technician in the TMT Rolling Mill located in the Rann of Kutch.

The Mechanical

Technician will perform routine and corrective maintenance on rolling mill machinery, mechanical systems, and auxiliary equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Daily responsibilities include inspecting equipment, identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues, executing repairs, and supporting preventive maintenance schedules. The role also involves coordinating with production and electrical teams, maintaining accurate maintenance records,



and following all safety and compliance guidelines.

The technician is expected to respond to breakdowns promptly, minimize downtime, and contribute to ongoing improvements in equipment reliability.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and general Maintenance activities for heavy industrial machinery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including routine inspections, servicing, and scheduled overhauls.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Troubleshooting, Maintenance & Repair for mechanical systems and rolling mill equipment.
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Experience working in steel plants, TMT rolling mills, or similar heavy manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical fitting, alignment, bearings, hydraulics, and basic welding or fabrication is beneficial.
- Ability to read technical drawings, follow maintenance procedures, and adhere to safety standards and PPE requirements.
- Robust teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with willingness to work in shifts as required.
