Role Description The Legal Intern role at Atar Singh & Legal Associates is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur. The intern will assist advocates with legal research, case law analysis, and preparing briefs and legal opinions.

Daily responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, organizing case files, and supporting client communication under supervision. The intern will observe court proceedings, help prepare for hearings, and participate in internal discussions on case strategy.



This role offers hands-on exposure to multiple practice areas and training in professional legal standards and ethics.

Qualifications

- Solid foundational knowledge of Law and an interest in corporate, real estate, family law, and litigation.
- Ability to engage in Legal Consulting support, including basic client interaction under supervision and issue spotting.
- Skills in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing contracts, petitions, and legal correspondence.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills for clear written work, professional emails, and client-facing interactions.
- Capability to identify, analyze, and summarize Legal Issues through structured research and case law review.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized law program (LL.B. or equivalent).
- Attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Commitment to skilled ethics, confidentiality, and a willingness to learn from feedback.
