Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the complete mechanical and piping construction activities for large-scale greenfield chemical plant projects, ensuring secure, quality, timely and cost-effective execution from construction through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Management & Execution

- Lead end-to-end mechanical and piping construction activities for greenfield chemical manufacturing projects.
- Develop and execute Construction Execution Plans (CEP) aligned with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning milestones.
- Drive construction work fronts, resource mobilization, contractor deployment and site execution strategies.
- Monitor construction progress against schedules and implement recovery plans to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure seamless coordination across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines.

Piping Construction & Installation
- Manage fabrication, erection and installation of process, utility and offsite piping systems.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, P&IDs;, isometrics and applicable international codes and standards.
- Supervise piping fit-up, welding, NDT activities, testing and reinstatement works.
- Monitor piping productivity, welding performance and field quality requirements.

Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and coordinate EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors and construction agencies.




- Resolve field engineering issues, RFIs, TQs, design modifications and site constraints through effective stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality and HSE teams to ensure execution readiness.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to project quality plans, ITPs, WIRs and quality standards.
- Lead quality audits, inspections, punch point closures and NCR resolution activities.
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance including Factory Act, PESO requirements, fire safety regulations and environmental standards.

Safety Management
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with project HSE standards.
- Conduct safety reviews, risk assessments, toolbox talks and contractor safety audits.
- Ensure achievement of project safety targets with zero harm philosophy.

Mechanical Completion & Commissioning Support
- Lead mechanical completion activities and system-wise handover processes.
- Manage hydrotesting, flushing, cleaning, drying, reinstatement and punch closure activities.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning teams for successful plant startup.
- Ensure timely turnover of systems with complete documentation and quality records.

Team Leadership
- Build, mentor and develop high-performing construction teams.
- Drive accountability, collaboration and milestone-focused project execution.
- Lead performance reviews and capability enhancement of site personnel.
