Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Engineer role based in Poonamallee.

The Junior

Engineer will support design, production, and quality activities related to trailers, containers, tippers, tankers, bulkers, and associated components.

Responsibilities include assisting senior engineers in preparing drawings, specifications, and documentation; coordinating with production teams on fabrication and assembly processes; and participating in inspections and testing to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves collecting and analyzing data from shop floor operations, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives,



and supporting implementation of current materials or methods such as AHSS.

The Junior

Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and provide input for timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in mechanical or automobile engineering principles, preferably with exposure to heavy vehicle or fabrication industry.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications; familiarity with basic CAD tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, cutting, forming, and assembly, with awareness of safety and quality practices.
- Basic understanding of materials used in fabrication, including steel and high-strength materials, and their application in structural components.
- Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with production, quality, and design teams on-site.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment in Poonamallee and learn from hands-on exposure to shop floor operations.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related discipline.
