Role Description The Junior Agency Manager is a full-time role responsible for supporting and growing the agency sales network for HDFC ERGO General Insurance. Based in Palghat in a hybrid arrangement, the role involves working both from the office and from home as business needs require. Day-to-day activities include assisting in recruitment, onboarding, and development of insurance agents, monitoring their performance, and guiding them on product offerings and sales techniques.

The role also includes achieving assigned sales targets, maintaining strong relationships with agents and customers,



coordinating with internal teams for policy issuance and servicing, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

The Junior Agency

Manager is expected to contribute to local market development through field visits, training sessions, and regular review meetings with the agency network.

Qualifications

.Strong sales and business development skills, with the ability to build and manage an agency network and meet defined targets.

- Customer relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to explain insurance products clearly and handle queries professionally.
- Basic knowledge of general insurance concepts and willingness to learn company products across motor, health, and other lines of business.
- Organizational and planning skills for scheduling meetings, training agents, and tracking performance metrics.
- Comfort with using computers and digital tools for reporting, policy processing, and communication.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage fieldwork in Palghat, and collaborate with internal teams.
- Preferably a graduate degree in any discipline; prior experience in insurance or financial services sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
- High level of integrity, result-oriented mindset, and readiness to travel locally as required.
