A mid-level Jewellery Designer should have a good understanding of different styles of designs. He/She should be able to conceptualize original designs, develop collections, and translate ideas into production-ready jewellery while keeping current market trends,

craftsmanship, and commercial appeal in mind.

Software Knowledge: Corel Draw or Adobe illustrator or any other software they are comfortable with for developing designs.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of metal weights, stone setting and manufacturing constraints, specific to silver jewellery.

Project Based Learning: Researching, Trend study, Sketching, Rendering and making

Product development sheets.

Colleges attended: NIFT, Pearl Academy, JDTI, IIGJ, etc.

Preferred Companies worked with in the past: Caratlane, Bluestone, Amrapali, Shaya, Giva,

Quirksmith, Tanishq, Exotic India art, Tribal ornaments, Tarakesh, Shyle, etc.

Key Responsibilities

- Proficiency in hand sketching or ideating Indian traditional style designing.
- Proficiency in exploring Contemporary concepts, shapes, etc.
- Good with thinking about forms, explorations, permutations and combinations.
- Comfortable exploring innovative techniques and staying up to date on trends and analysing which styles or products and price points are selling well in the market.
- Developing designs according to brand aesthetics, target audience, and price points.
- Creating original jewellery designs for new collections and seasonal launches.
- Ability to present ideas to the team clearly - an openness and excitement to hear feedback,



give feedback and incorporate feedback into designs and processes.
- Developing concepts, sketches, mood boards, and detailed design presentations.
- Converting design concepts into production-ready drawings/ specifications,

according to company guidelines.

- Working with senior designers to ensure all designs are practical, aesthetically balanced, and commercially viable.
- Provide timely input on physical product attributes to the Design Associates for SKU creation.
- Working proactively in order to complete all tasks within given timelines.
- Taking ownership of their collection end-to-end to keep the freshness and excitement infusion into the designs for the long run.
- Maintaining design documentation, specifications, and collection records.
- Participating in cross-team collection planning, special event collection ideation and general contribution of creative ideas for new product lines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2 years of professional jewellery design experience. Ideal (but not required) to have specific experience in 925 sterling silver designing.
- Degree/diploma in Jewellery Design.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery construction, materials, gemstones, and manufacturing techniques.
- Proficiency in hand sketching and/or jewellery design software such as Rhino,

MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or similar tools.

- Good understanding of proportions, detailing, finishing, and wearability.
- Strong knowledge of current jewellery trends and consumer preferences.
- Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple designs and deadlines.
- Robust communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and excitement to make a difference.
