About The Role

We are seeking an experienced EDI Java-SQL Developer with expertise in AI and Azure to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in developing and enhancing healthcare EDI features, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java, SQL, and healthcare EDI transactions, with hands-on experience in developing solutions within Azure cloud environments.

You will collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Quality Engineering teams to understand requirements, develop solutions, and deploy robust features that improve healthcare data exchange processes. This is a permanent position based in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, or Pune, offering an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of relevant software development experience, with a proven track record in Java, SQL, and healthcare EDI integrations.



Strong hands-on experience with healthcare transactions such as 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277 is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in REST APIs and web services, along with a solid understanding of Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps tools.

Experience working in Agile development environments, coupled with problem-solving and debugging skills, is essential. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Azure will be considered an advantage. A proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance healthcare EDI features based on backlog requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand user stories, translate requirements into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality features.
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Java, SQL, APIs, and various integration technologies to support healthcare EDI transactions.
- Work with healthcare EDI transactions such as 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277, ensuring accurate and effective data exchange.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system operation.




- Coordinate with Quality Engineering teams during testing phases, address defects, and ensure smooth deployment of features in production environments.
- Participate actively in backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and product demos to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Utilize Azure and Azure DevOps for continuous integration, deployment, and version control, streamlining development workflows.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and innovation in solution development.
