Role & responsibilities

We are seeking skilled FMS IT Engineers to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure by designing, installing, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing robust security measures. Should handle the site independently. Immediate joiners are preferred.

- Independently manage and support the entire on-site desktop and IT environment for the client, with minimal dependency on additional support.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, peripherals, and software across the site.
- Set up and configure new software and computer systems as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Train staff on new hardware and software systems.
- Address and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues end-to-end, escalating only when necessary.
- Respond to general IT requests and provide timely, self-sufficient support.




- Ensure security software and patches are up to date across all systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, replacements, and procurement of IT equipment.
- Manage IT asset and inventory records, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware and software.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the IT Manager.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Diploma in Computer, or a related field. Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems.
- Familiarity with general OS systems, enterprise software, programming languages, and office software. Skills:
- Proficiency in LAN and wireless networks.
- Solid project management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex software and hardware issues.
- Knowledge of database and networking security systems.
- Certifications: Not mandatory
- Minimum Experience Required: 1.5 Year(s) - similar role (Desktop Support)
