About the Role:

We are looking for two organised and dependable Stores & Inventory Executives to manage our extensive inventory of industrial products, components and accessories.

The role involves receiving and checking materials, organising stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing orders and coordinating dispatches. Candidates must be comfortable handling physical stock and recording transactions using Tally or Zoho tools.

Our products include many similar-looking items with different part numbers and technical specifications. Accuracy, attention to detail and a willingness to learn our product ranges are essential.

This position is based at a single Mcvan office and stores location in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, part numbers and condition against purchase orders and supplier documents.
- Record material receipts, stock issues, dispatches and returns accurately and promptly in the inventory system.
- Label and arrange products systematically in designated racks, bins and storage locations.
- Maintain accurate item details,



units of measure and storage-location records.
- Pick and pack customer orders, checking product codes, quantities and accessories before dispatch.
- Prepare or coordinate delivery challans, packing lists and other dispatch documents with the accounts and sales teams.
- Coordinate with transporters and courier partners for timely collection and delivery.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile differences with system records.
- Report shortages, excess stock, damaged goods, incorrect supplies and inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor low-stock, slow-moving and non-moving items and inform the relevant team.
- Track batches, serial numbers and expiry dates wherever applicable.
- Handle customer returns and supplier returns with proper documentation.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and accessible stores area and follow product-specific storage and handling instructions.
- Coordinate with sales, purchase, accounts and service teams regarding stock availability and order requirements.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should preferably possess a Diploma, particularly in:

- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- A related technical discipline

Candidates without a diploma may also be considered if they have relevant practical experience in stores, inventory control or industrial-material handling.

Candidate Requirements:

- Practical experience using Tally or Zoho tools for inventory transactions and stock records.




- Ability to identify and verify products using part numbers, descriptions, sizes and specifications.
- Solid attention to detail when counting, recording, picking and dispatching materials.
- Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets, email and document handling.
- Ability to maintain organised records and investigate stock differences.
- Working proficiency in Tamil and sufficient English to read product descriptions, documents and emails.
- Willingness to carry out routine physical stock handling, packing and stores organisation.
- A reliable, responsible approach to company stock and documentation.
- Ability to coordinate with colleagues and manage daily priorities.

Preferred Experience The following will be considered an advantage:

- Previous experience in stores, inventory management, warehousing or dispatch.
- Experience with industrial distributors, engineering companies, spare-parts suppliers or manufacturing stores.
- Familiarity with pneumatic components, automation products, NDT consumables or industrial marking products.
- Experience managing a large number of product codes and similar-looking components.
- Knowledge of stock reconciliation, bin-location systems, barcode scanning and batch or serial-number tracking.
- Experience handling shelf-life-sensitive consumables and following applicable storage instructions.

Product Familiarisation and Compensation The role requires learning Mcvan’s product codes, storage arrangements, inventory procedures and dispatch requirements across SMC, Magnaflux, Bradma and other product lines. Salary will be based on the candidate’s relevant experience, inventory-management skills and ability to handle the responsibilities of the role.
