About the role

Kalawati Steels has sold steel and building material in Varanasi for over 35 years. Steel does not disappear on its own. It disappears through bad counting, careless loading and unrecorded movement. You make sure that what the system says is in our Bachhaon yard is actually in the yard, bundle for bundle, size for size, brand for brand.

Work location: Kalawati Steels, Bachhaon, Varanasi. Interview at Head Office, Varanasi.

Full time, permanent, in office and yard, 6 days a week.

What you will do

1. Receive all inbound material. Check brand, grade, size, piece count and weight against the purchase order and supplier challan before unloading.
2. Reject or flag short weight, wrong grade, rusted or damaged material at the gate, before it enters stock.
3. Enter every inward and outward movement in the ERP the same day. No pencil notes, no entering it later.
4. Know size-wise, brand-wise and grade-wise stock at any moment without walking to the yard.
5. Physical stock count: full count monthly, rotating partial counts weekly. Reconcile to the ERP and explain every variance in writing.
6. Follow FIFO. Old stock moves first.



Report slow-moving and dead stock monthly.
7. Supervise stacking and storage so material is secure, accessible and protected from rust.
8. Supervise loading against the invoice, challan and weighbridge slip, and sign off that they match.
9. Keep scrap, offcut and short-piece records separately.
10. Raise replenishment requests from actual stock and lifting trends. Enforce yard safety for labour and vehicles.

Who we want
1. 12th pass minimum, graduate preferred.
2. 2 to 6 years in stores, warehouse or yard management for steel, cement, timber, hardware, building material or any heavy material.
3. Can calculate weight from size and piece count and read a weighbridge slip.
4. Hands-on ERP or inventory software entry.
5. Physically fit for yard work. This is not an air-conditioned desk job.
6. Reports to Bachhaon daily.

Not for you if Your stores experience is office or IT only, or you have never reconciled a physical count against a system.
