The Production Manager takes full ownership of the factory floor, planning, coordinating, and controlling the complete manufacturing process. The primary goal is to ensure that interior products and modular furniture components are produced accurately, safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Execution

- Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on project deadlines.
- Verify cutting lists, production drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) before manufacturing begins.
- Optimize panel cutting layouts for plywood, MDF, and HDHMR to minimize raw material wastage.
- Oversee the complete factory workflow, from cutting and edge banding to CNC machining, assembly, finishing, packing, and dispatch.
- Identify factory bottlenecks, production issues, or drawing errors at an early stage and take quick corrective action.
- Ensure production activities are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Manpower & Team Management

- Allocate daily tasks to machine operators, carpenters, supervisors, and helpers.
- Monitor worker attendance, productivity, performance, and overall shop-floor discipline.
- Train, guide, and mentor production staff to improve workmanship, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate effectively with production supervisors and factory teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Material & Quality Control

- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores teams to ensure the timely availability of boards, laminates, hardware, fittings, and other required materials.
- Conduct strict quality checks at different stages of production to minimize defects, rework, and material wastage.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of heavy factory machinery, including panel saws, edge banders,



and CNC routers.
- Ensure production areas, machinery, tools, and processes follow required safety and operational standards.
- Maintain daily production reports and provide regular updates to management regarding production progress and project status.
- Monitor material consumption and production efficiency to help control manufacturing costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 5–6+ years of relevant experience in interior fit-outs, modular furniture, or wood-section factory production.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of panel processing, CNC operations, CAD-CAM files, and cutting-list optimization.
- Material Expertise: Hands-on familiarity with plywood, MDF, HDHMR, laminates, veneers, and modular hardware fittings.
- Production Knowledge: Positive understanding of the complete modular furniture manufacturing process, from cutting to final packing and dispatch.
- Core Competencies: Strong leadership, problem-solving, team management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with design, purchase, stores, production, and site installation teams.
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, material management, and factory workflow.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines and production targets.
