Role Description The Interior Materials Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. The position is responsible for planning, sourcing, and purchasing interior materials such as gypsum boards, partitions, carpentry materials, plumbing and electrical supplies, paints, finishes, and civil work materials.

Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating vendors, negotiating pricing and terms, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites. The role involves close coordination with project managers, site supervisors, designers, and finance teams to forecast material requirements, maintain optimal inventory levels,



and adhere to project budgets and timelines.

The Interior Materials Purchase

Manager will also monitor material quality, maintain accurate procurement records, and support continuous improvement in purchasing processes and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

- Robust procurement and vendor management skills, including experience in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management within interior contracting or construction.
- Solid understanding of interior materials and building products (gypsum, partitions, carpentry materials, plumbing and electrical supplies, finishes, and civil work items).
- Proficiency in inventory control, purchase order management, and basic cost analysis to support budgeting and timely project execution.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams such as design, projects, site execution, and finance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and material specifications and align purchases with project and quality requirements.
- Comfort with using procurement or ERP software and MS Office tools (especially Excel) for tracking orders, vendors, and costs.
- Relevant experience in interiors, fit-outs, construction procurement, or related fields; experience with multi-site or PAN India projects is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related discipline preferred.
