Importerr.com is a cross-border import platform that helps Indian entrepreneurs and D2C brand builders source directly from China, with an MOQ of 1, end-to-end logistics and INR payments. We're looking for an experienced, proactive Import & Product Sourcing Specialist to run sourcing and import operations for our clients and our growing B2B network.

This is primarily an Individual Contributor role. You will own sourcing requests from the first inquiry to delivery in India, working with our China team, suppliers and logistics partners.

You must have hands-on experience with finished goods only.

We are NOT focusing on heavy-weight products, regular apparel, or food/FMCG.

Key Responsibilities

? Identify profitable, trending and unique products for Indian D2C brands, marketplace sellers and B2B buyers

? Source reliable manufacturers and suppliers in China through Alibaba, 1688, our supplier networks, trade channels and exhibitions like Canton Fair

? Verify suppliers and build long-term vendor partnerships

? Negotiate pricing, MOQs, customization, packaging and payment terms

? Manage the complete import cycle: sampling, production follow-up, quality checks, freight, customs clearance and final delivery in India

? Coordinate with our China team, freight forwarders, customs agents, CHA partners and logistics providers

? Handle import documentation and compliance requirements

? Apply the right certifications and licenses (BIS, IEC, labeling, product compliance)

? Manage international vendor payments and China payment channels

? Calculate landed cost, duties, margins and overall profitability for clients

? Track shipments and ensure timely, transparent execution

? Handle client communication on quotes, timelines and shipment status

Requirements

✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in sourcing/import operations for e-commerce, D2C or trading businesses

✔ Strong knowledge of the China sourcing ecosystem (Alibaba, 1688, factory sourcing)

✔ Hands-on experience with customs clearance and import procedures

✔ Strong understanding of international logistics and shipping coordination

✔ Knowledge of certifications, compliance and licensing across product categories

✔ Experience in supplier verification and due diligence

✔ Solid negotiation and vendor management skills

✔ Ability to execute sourcing and import projects independently, end-to-end

✔ Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills

Good to have

✔ Experience working with Chinese suppliers or a China-based team

✔ Exposure to D2C brand building or dropshipping supply chains
