About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, approachable, and experienced School Counsellor to support the emotional, social, behavioural, and academic wellbeing of students. The counsellor will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counselling to students based on their needs.
- Support students with emotional, behavioural, social, academic, and adjustment-related concerns.
- Identify students who may require additional support and recommend appropriate interventions or referrals when necessary.
- Conduct age-appropriate wellbeing, life-skills, social-emotional learning, and awareness sessions.
- Maintain appropriate and confidential counselling records and documentation.
- Work closely with teachers and school leadership to understand and address student concerns.
- Communicate with parents regarding student wellbeing and support strategies, wherever appropriate.
- Assist students with stress management, confidence building, peer relationships, study habits, decision-making, and career awareness.
- Support students during transitions, academic pressure, examination periods, and other school-related challenges.
- Conduct workshops for students, parents,



and staff on relevant topics related to student wellbeing and mental health awareness.
- Follow school safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, and referral protocols.
- Maintain professional boundaries and ensure a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental counselling environment.
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the overall wellbeing initiatives of the school.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology or a relevant field.
- Relevant counselling qualification or certification preferred.
- Prior experience as a School Counsellor or in a school/educational setting will be preferred.
- Experience working with children and adolescents is desirable.
