MailerMen is hiring an Identity Architect - SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) to design and lead identity security implementations for enterprise clients. Identity and access management (IAM) decides who can reach which systems, how that access is approved and how it is reviewed over time. SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) is the cloud platform that carries out that governance across an organisation's connected applications.

The role combines deep technical work on the platform with the solutioning and client-facing responsibility for the design decisions behind it.

You will extend and customise ISC well beyond its standard configuration. That work uses SailPoint Rules, which are the custom logic hooks the platform runs at defined points in an identity lifecycle, together with PowerShell scripting, REST APIs and Java-based services and integrations. You will also connect ISC to the systems that hold identity and entitlement data, using JDBC connectors that read directly from relational databases and Web Services integrations for applications that expose an API instead.

A solid understanding of relational data models is needed here, because the accuracy of a connector determines the accuracy of every access decision that depends on it.

The role carries technical leadership as well. You will evaluate several technical approaches, set out the trade-offs plainly and guide clients toward the option that best fits their business and technical requirements. You will run solution reviews, make design decisions, oversee development and guide implementation, and you may lead or mentor a development team.

Much of the communication is with people who are not identity specialists, so explaining complex identity and security concepts in plain terms matters as much as the build work. Delivery runs on an Agile model with bi-monthly sprint cycles, alongside client stakeholders, architects, engineers and cross-functional teams.



A SailPoint ISC Engineer certification is preferred, and prior experience with Agentic AI development, meaning AI systems that plan and carry out multi-step tasks on their own, or with other AI-enabled enterprise solutions is an advantage.

Responsibilities

- Design SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) solutions and lead their implementation from design through to delivery.
- Own the end-to-end solution design for ISC implementation projects.
- Extend and customise ISC using SailPoint Rules, PowerShell scripting and REST APIs.
- Build Java-based services and integrations that extend the platform.
- Configure and maintain JDBC connectors to relational databases so that identity and entitlement data stays accurate.
- Build and maintain Web Services integrations to connected applications.
- Evaluate multiple technical approaches, articulate the trade-offs and recommend the option that best fits the client's business and technical requirements.
- Explain complex identity and security concepts in plain terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership through solution reviews, design decisions, development oversight and implementation guidance.
- Lead and mentor the development and implementation team working on the platform.
- Deliver within an Agile model that runs on bi-monthly sprint cycles.

Requirements

- 7+ years of relevant experience in identity and access management.
- Proven experience designing and leading SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) implementation projects.
- Strong hands-on experience extending and customising ISC using SailPoint Rules and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience working with REST APIs and building Java-based services and integrations.
- Robust understanding of JDBC connectors and relational databases.
- Experience delivering Web Services integrations between identity platforms and connected applications.
- Ability to evaluate multiple technical approaches, articulate trade-offs clearly and guide clients toward the solution that best aligns with their business and technical requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex identity and security concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in an Agile delivery environment with bi-monthly sprint cycles.
- A SailPoint ISC Engineer certification is preferred.
- Experience leading and mentoring development or implementation teams is preferred, including solution reviews, design decisions and development oversight.
- Prior experience with Agentic AI development or other AI-enabled enterprise solutions is an advantage.
