About Pokra

Pokra (pokra.ai) is an SEO and AI-search visibility SaaS built for Indian Shopify stores. As shoppers move from Google to ChatGPT, Copilot and Google AI Mode, brands need to show up inside AI answers, not just on page one. Pokra helps D2C brands get found there and see which of their SEO and AI-search efforts actually drive revenue. We launched in August 2026 and are now scaling the sales and content teams.

Pokra is run by a founder who also operates BigCreator (bigcreator.in), an AI copilot for content creators, and @shivamnanda.ai, an AI-focused content brand with a large Indian audience across Instagram and YouTube. This role supports hiring and people operations across all three.

About the role

We are hiring our first HR person, and the role is hands-on from day one. You will own hiring end to end, set up basic people processes, and run performance reviews once the team is in place. The founder has limited bandwidth for recruitment, so you will be trusted to run the pipeline independently and bring shortlisted candidates for final interviews.

Your first mandate is to hire:

- Cold callers and Business Development Associates for Pokra
- A Social Media Manager / Content Strategist for @shivamnanda.ai and BigCreator ad scripts

After that, you will build the systems that keep a small, fast-moving team running well.

What you will do

- Own the full recruitment cycle: write JDs, post on LinkedIn, Naukri, Internshala and other channels, screen resumes, run first-round calls, and coordinate final interviews




- Build a repeatable hiring pipeline for sales and content roles, including candidate trackers and interview scorecards
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar) to create assignments, screening tests and onboarding material for new joinees
- Draft offer letters, onboarding documents and basic HR policies
- Set up and run monthly performance reviews with explicit KPIs for each role
- Handle attendance, leave, payroll coordination and day-to-day employee queries
- Keep the founder updated with a weekly hiring and team-health summary

What we are looking for

- 2+ years of HR experience at a company where you actively participated in hiring, not just admin
- Have personally sourced, screened and closed candidates for sales, operations or marketing roles
- Experience running or supporting employee performance reviews
- Comfortable using AI tools in daily work and able to use them to build assignments and process documents quickly
- Familiar with Indian hiring platforms and basic labour compliance
- Organised, self-driven, and comfortable working directly with a founder with minimal supervision
- Strong written and spoken English and Hindi

Good to have

- Experience at an early-stage startup, agency or D2C brand
- Exposure to hiring for cold-calling or telesales teams
- Basic understanding of social media and content roles
