Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible HR Manager to manage and oversee the complete Human Resources function of our construction and infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in construction-site HR management, manpower planning, recruitment, employee relations, attendance, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, labour management, and HR documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for managing HR operations across the corporate office as well as construction/project sites and should be comfortable coordinating with project managers, engineers, supervisors, contractors, workers, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for corporate office and construction project requirements.
- Understand manpower requirements from Project Managers, Department Heads and Site Management.
- Prepare manpower plans based on project requirements and timelines.
- Source and recruit engineers, supervisors, managers, skilled workers, semi-skilled workers and other project staff.
- Conduct preliminary screening, interviews and coordinate final selection.
- Maintain an updated candidate database and recruitment tracker.
- Ensure timely deployment of employees at project sites.

2. Construction Site HR Management

- Handle day-to-day HR activities at construction/project sites.
- Coordinate with Site Managers, Project Managers and Department Heads regarding manpower requirements.
- Maintain proper employee and worker records at project locations.
- Monitor employee attendance, shift schedules, leave and absenteeism.
- Address employee and worker-related concerns at project sites.
- Ensure proper communication of company policies and procedures to site employees.
- Coordinate employee transfers, site postings, joining formalities and relieving processes.

3. Labour & Contractor Management

- Manage manpower supplied through contractors and subcontractors.
- Maintain records of contract labour and outsourced manpower.
- Coordinate with contractors regarding manpower deployment, attendance and wage-related matters.
- Ensure required employee/labour documentation is properly maintained.
- Support compliance requirements related to contract labour and applicable labour regulations.
- Coordinate with site administration regarding worker welfare and basic facilities.

4. Attendance & Payroll Coordination

- Monitor attendance records for office and site employees.
- Verify attendance, overtime, leave and other payroll inputs.
- Coordinate with the Accounts/Finance Department for monthly payroll processing.




- Ensure timely submission of salary-related data.
- Handle employee queries related to salary, attendance, deductions and leave.
- Maintain accurate HR MIS related to manpower and payroll.

5. Employee Relations

- Act as a point of contact for employee and worker-related concerns.
- Resolve workplace grievances professionally and fairly.
- Maintain positive employee relations across project sites and corporate offices.
- Support disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct employee counselling and grievance-resolution meetings when required.
- Promote professional workplace behaviour and organizational discipline.

6. HR Policies & Processes

- Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees understand company rules, policies and code of conduct.
- Establish standardized HR processes for project sites.
- Maintain proper documentation for joining, transfers, promotions, appraisals and exits.
- Continuously improve HR processes to support business and project requirements.

7. Statutory & Labour Law Compliance

- Ensure HR operations comply with applicable labour laws and regulations.
- Coordinate statutory compliance requirements applicable to the construction workforce.
- Maintain required employee and labour records and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and external consultants for compliance matters.
- Support inspections, audits and statutory documentation whenever required.

8. Employee Joining & Exit Formalities

- Manage complete employee onboarding and joining documentation.
- Conduct joining formalities and HR induction.
- Ensure employees receive necessary company policies and guidelines.
- Manage resignation, notice period, clearance and full-and-final coordination.
- Maintain accurate employee master data and personnel files.

9. Performance Management

- Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes.
- Work with department heads to monitor employee performance.
- Maintain appraisal and increment records.
- Support performance improvement processes where required.
- Assist management in identifying manpower and performance-related issues.

10. HR MIS & Reporting

- Prepare regular HR reports for management.
- Maintain manpower reports, attendance reports, recruitment trackers and employee databases.
- Prepare site-wise manpower status reports.
- Track employee turnover, absenteeism, recruitment status and vacancies.
- Provide HR-related data and reports to senior management as required.

Educational Qualification

Required:

MBA / PGDM / MSW / Master's Degree in Human Resources, Personnel Management or a related discipline.

Preferred:

Skilled certification in HR or Labour Law will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a mature, proactive and result-oriented HR professional with practical experience in managing employees and workforce in a construction environment. The candidate should be comfortable working with both corporate management and project-site teams.

The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple HR responsibilities simultaneously and should be willing to travel to or work at project sites whenever required.
