Job Title: HR Manager

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized HR Manager based in India to lead our global HR operations, streamline our systems, and support our growing faculty and staff.
Core Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Lifecycle Management
- Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and negotiating offers for faculty and administrative staff.
- Design and oversee a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience for all employees.
2. HRIS Automation (Rippling)
- Serve as the primary administrator for the Rippling platform.
- Manage, build, and optimize automated workflows within Rippling for payroll inputs, benefits administration, time-off tracking, and employee data management.
- Train staff and leadership on utilizing Rippling effectively.
3. Policy Development & Legal Compliance
- Maintain, organize, and proactively create comprehensive company policies that align with organizational goals and local regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison with external legal counsel; obtain legal opinions when required and draft legally sound HR documents, employment contracts, and compliance policies.
- Ensure all HR practices comply with the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA) and relevant Canadian labor laws.
4. Performance & Employee Relations
- Develop and implement structured performance management systems, including annual reviews, goal setting (OKRs/KPIs), and continuous feedback loops.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, resolving conflicts and handling sensitive employee relations issues with discretion.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a cohesive, remote-inclusive company culture.
5. HR Analytics & Strategy
- Generate regular reports using Rippling data to track key HR metrics (retention, time-to-hire, compensation equity).
- Partner with senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and align HR strategies with the college’s growth objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a HR Manager or HRBP role.
- Global Exposure: Proven experience managing HR operations for a North American (ideally Canadian) company. Familiarity with Ontario employment laws is a major asset.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience administering Rippling (or similar robust HRIS platforms like BambooHR/Workday) and building system automations.
- Legal Acumen: Experience drafting corporate policies and liaising with employment lawyers to mitigate organizational risk is a bonus.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, capable of drafting formal legal/HR documents and negotiating at a leadership level.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or relevant HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, CHRP) is preferred.
