Hostel Warden

QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Prior experience in hostel management, student welfare, or residential care in an educational institution is desirable.
- Sound understanding of student discipline procedures and residential facility administration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee student discipline and welfare within the hostel premises, ensuring a safe and conducive living setting.
- Manage day-to-day hostel administration, including room allocation, attendance, and adherence to hostel rules.
- Coordinate with hostel staff, security personnel, and support teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, medical situations, or disciplinary issues and escalate as required.
- Maintain accurate hostel records, including resident details, attendance registers, and incident reports.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene,



and upkeep of hostel premises, dining areas, and common facilities.
- Liaise with parents/guardians regarding student welfare, conduct, and any concerns as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of hostel rooms and facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.

- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with students and parents.
