Role Description The Head of the Accounting Department will oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities for SBR Group in a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role includes leading the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, and maintaining robust internal controls. The individual will manage budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing journal entries, approvals of key transactions,



monitoring compliance with accounting standards and local regulations, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The Head of the Accounting Department will collaborate closely with senior management and other business units to align financial processes with project and organizational goals.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Accounting and Financial Statements, with the ability to oversee end-to-end accounting operations.
- Proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, including the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial results to leadership.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience leading an accounting or finance team, preferably within real estate or a project-based environment.
- Thorough knowledge of local tax laws, statutory compliance, and relevant accounting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are highly desirable.
- Solid communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management.
