Role: Group Lead – Data Products & Architecture

Are you an experienced Data Architecture leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, strengthening operating models, and driving delivery excellence across distributed/global environments?

Our client is looking for a Group Lead – Data Products & Architecture to lead its Data Architecture chapter in GCC India, managing Data Architects and Senior Data Architects across multiple domains.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the GCC India Data Architecture team and ensure consistent delivery quality, standards adherence and team development.
- Partner with onsite Data Architecture leaders to understand capacity requirements, allocate resources and enable seamless delivery across domains.
- Establish and improve operating routines, governance forums, stand-ups, progress tracking and delivery cadences across onsite and GCC teams.
- Assess the chapter’s operating maturity and develop playbooks, SOPs and feedback mechanisms to close capability and process gaps.
- Act as a key liaison between GCC leadership and global Data Products & Platforms leadership.
- Manage, mentor and develop Data Architects and Senior Data Architects while building a strong internal talent pipeline.
- Drive adherence to Data Architecture standards, semantic modelling and AI-readiness practices.
- Support onboarding, workforce planning, capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Identify and escalate delivery risks, staffing gaps and cross-domain conflicts.
- Build a strong Data Architecture community across distributed onsite and GCC teams.

What We’re Looking For

- 8–12 years of overall experience, including significant experience managing distributed/GCC technical teams.
- Proven experience leading technical teams through collective delivery and quality ownership, rather than being primarily an individual contributor.




- Strong working knowledge of Data Architecture and modern data platforms.
- Exposure to Snowflake / Cortex, Azure, AWS, GCP, ERWIN, ER/Studio and semantic layer concepts.
- Working proficiency in SQL and Python, with familiarity with Power BI.
- Understanding of batch and real-time data processing and enterprise platforms such as SAP ECC/S4, BW and HANA.
- Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Security and Compliance.
- Experience working within a matrixed, dual-reporting GCC/shared-services environment.
- Experience creating and running team operating models, governance routines and delivery cadences from scratch.
- Experience maturing teams/functions through playbooks, SOPs and capability frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, people leadership, coaching and career development skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira and Confluence.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Preferably from a Tier 1 Engineering college/university
