About the Role

Vaughn Structural Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET) to join our structural steel detailing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for fresh engineering graduates who are interested in structural steel detailing, BIM, and Tekla Structures and want to build a long-term career in the structural engineering and construction industry.

Previous experience in Tekla Structures is not required. We provide practical, on-the-job training and guidance to help you develop the skills required for professional steel detailing.

Training & Learning

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee, you will receive hands-on training covering:

- Tekla Structures – 3D structural steel modelling and drawing creation.
- Understanding structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
- Structural steel members, assemblies, connections, and detailing practices.
- Fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and shop drawings.
- Basic understanding of AISC and other international detailing standards.
- Project specifications, client requirements, and detailing procedures.
- Drawing checking and quality-control procedures.
- Practical workflow used in real-world structural steel projects.

Training will be provided progressively, with responsibilities increasing as your technical skills and project knowledge develop.

A typical career progression may be:

Graduate Engineer Trainee → Junior Detailer / Modeler → Structural Steel Modeler → Senior Modeler → Checker / Project Lead

Key Responsibilities

- Learn and develop skills in structural steel detailing and 3D modelling.
- Create structural steel models and drawings using Tekla Structures.
- Understand structural and architectural drawings.
- Prepare fabrication and erection drawings under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Learn steel connections, members, assemblies, and detailing practices.
- Follow project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with senior modelers, checkers, and project teams.
- Assist in preparing shop drawings and project documentation.
- Continuously improve technical and software skills.

Eligibility
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.




- 0–1 year of experience in structural steel detailing is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings is preferred.
- Willingness to learn Tekla Structures and structural steel detailing.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
