Job Brief:

- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate assessment and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing exact appraisals that uphold the institution's standards for security and customer trust within the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.
- Evaluate the market value of gold based on current rates, weight, and quality, applying standardized appraisal methodologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory guidelines affecting gold loan operations.




- Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation to support loan sanctioning decisions and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold-backed loans while ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or potential fraud related to gold assets to the risk management team promptly.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements related to gold appraisal and loan disbursement.
- Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and compliance standards to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Participate in periodic audits and inspections conducted by internal and external agencies to validate appraisal accuracy and process integrity.
