Job Brief:

- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate assessment and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing exact appraisals that uphold the institution's standards of financial integrity and customer trust.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted for loan processing to determine authenticity and purity.
- Evaluate the market value of gold based on current rates, quality, weight, and prevailing economic conditions.
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports that accurately reflect the assessed value of gold assets for loan sanctioning purposes.
- Collaborate with the loan processing and risk management teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gold market trends,



pricing fluctuations, and industry best practices to inform appraisal decisions.
- Manage and update records of all appraisals and related documentation in the bank’s operational systems with high accuracy.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or potential fraud in gold submissions to the appropriate authorities within the bank.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and compliance requirements.
- Participate in periodic audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory mandates.
- Support customer service teams by addressing queries related to gold valuation and loan eligibility.
