Job Brief:

- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate and timely assessment of gold collateral. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing accurate appraisals that mitigate risk and enhance customer trust. This position requires collaboration with multiple departments to streamline loan disbursement processes while maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity and customer service.

Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing.
- Accurately assess the purity, weight, and market value of gold using standardized testing methods and industry tools.




- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current gold market prices and trends to ensure precise valuation.
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth and timely loan disbursement.
- Ensure adherence to all internal controls and audit requirements related to gold appraisal and handling.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or potential fraud in gold submissions to the relevant authorities.
- Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and compliance standards.
- Participate in periodic audits and inspections to uphold quality and accuracy in appraisal processes.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge related to precious metal appraisal and financial services regulations.
