Job Brief:

- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. The role demands a thorough understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate assessment and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing precise appraisals that uphold the institution's standards of financial integrity and customer trust.

Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and quality standards.
- Accurately assess the purity, weight, and market value of gold assets using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Stay updated with current gold market trends, prices, and regulatory guidelines to provide informed appraisals.
- Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold-backed loans.




- Maintain comprehensive records of appraisals, including photographs, documentation, and valuation reports for audit and compliance purposes.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or suspicious items to the compliance and risk management teams promptly.
- Ensure adherence to all internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to gold appraisal and loan processing.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on gold appraisal procedures and best practices.
- Participate in periodic audits and quality checks to uphold appraisal accuracy and operational excellence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing appraisal processes and customer service.
