Role Description The Freelance Video Editor role is a full-time remote position responsible for editing and assembling raw video footage into polished, compelling stories that align with Capture Shell’s visual style and client objectives. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and trimming clips, synchronizing audio, applying transitions, and incorporating color grading and basic motion graphics as needed.





The role involves collaborating with the creative team to interpret project briefs, ensuring consistency in tone and pacing across wedding, event, corporate, and commercial content.

The Video

Editor will also prepare final exports for multiple platforms, manage file versions, and maintain organized project archives.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in video editing and video production, including assembling footage, audio syncing, and narrative structuring.
- Proficiency in video color grading and basic graphics to enhance visual consistency and mood.
- Experience with motion graphics for titles, lower thirds, and simple animations that support storytelling.
- Advanced knowledge of industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand guidelines, and meet deadlines in a remote, freelance environment.
- Strong attention to detail, visual storytelling skills, and a portfolio showcasing event, commercial, or narrative work.
- Good communication skills and reliable self-management; prior experience in photography or filmmaking is a plus.
