Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Foreman – Steelwork to supervise and manage steel reinforcement and structural steel-related activities at construction sites. The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on construction site experience with strong practical knowledge of steelwork execution and manpower supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage day-to-day steelwork activities at the construction site.

- Execute steel reinforcement works as per approved structural drawings and project specifications.

- Supervise the cutting, bending, placing, tying, and fixing of reinforcement steel.

- Ensure reinforcement is placed correctly with respect to size, spacing, cover, laps, anchorage, and development length.

- Coordinate with Site Engineers and Structural Engineers regarding reinforcement-related requirements.

- Check reinforcement work before concrete pouring and ensure necessary corrections are completed.

- Supervise steel workers, bar benders, and subcontractor teams.

- Monitor manpower allocation and productivity at the site.

- Ensure proper handling, stacking, identification, and storage of reinforcement steel.

- Minimize material wastage and monitor steel consumption.

- Assist in checking reinforcement quantities and material requirements.





- Ensure work is carried out according to quality and safety standards.

- Identify site issues and coordinate with the Site Engineer for timely resolution.

- Maintain daily work records and report progress to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.

- Coordinate with formwork and concreting teams to ensure smooth execution of structural activities.

- Ensure steelwork activities are completed as per the project schedule.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of relevant construction site experience.

- Hands-on construction site experience is mandatory.

- Strong experience in steel reinforcement work and site supervision.

- Good knowledge of reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and steel fixing practices.

- Practical knowledge of cutting, bending, placing, tying, and fixing reinforcement steel.

- Ability to read and understand structural drawings.

- Experience supervising steel fixers, bar benders, and subcontractor teams.

- Good knowledge of construction quality and safety practices.

- Solid manpower management and coordination skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

- Good communication and leadership skills.

- Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
