Responsibilities

- Operate Fibroscan equipment to assess liver stiffness in patients, ensuring accurate and reliable results.

- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.

- Maintain and calibrate Fibroscan equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret scan results effectively.

- Assist in managing patient records, ensuring all data is accurately documented and updated.

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols during procedures.

- Provide support in emergency situations, coordinating with the medical team as necessary.

- Keep up-to-date with advancements in imaging technology related to Fibroscan procedures.

- Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement activities.

Qualification

B.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology (MIT) or Radiology B.Sc. in Allied Health Sciences B.Sc. Nursing (in some hospitals)
