Key Responsibilities

- Research current and upcoming fashion trends, silhouettes, fabrics, colours and consumer preferences.
- Develop creative concepts, mood boards, colour palettes and seasonal collections for SILAIO.
- Design women’s fashion / contemporary womenswear aligned with the SILAIO brand identity.
- Create hand sketches, fashion illustrations, CADs and technical drawings.
- Develop new silhouettes, prints, patterns, detailing and garment concepts.
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, embellishments and accessories for each design.
- Coordinate with pattern makers, tailors, sampling and production teams.
- Prepare design specifications, measurements and basic tech packs.
- Participate in sampling and fitting sessions and suggest corrections wherever required.
- Follow the garment development process from initial concept to final sample.
- Ensure the final garment matches the intended design, fit, finish and quality.
- Work closely with the founder/creative team to develop SILAIO’s visual and design language.
- Research competitors and identify new fashion opportunities without compromising the brand’s originality.
- Assist in styling, photoshoots,



lookbooks and campaign development when required.
- Maintain organized records of sketches, samples, fabric swatches and design references.
- Stay updated with Indian and international fashion trends, fabrics, techniques and consumer behaviour.

What We’re Looking For
- 1–5 years of experience in Fashion Designing / Apparel Designing.
- Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design / Apparel Design / Textile Design.
- Strong understanding of women’s wear, garment construction and fashion trends.
- Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, prints, colours and garment finishing.
- Strong fashion illustration and creative thinking skills.
- Understanding of pattern making, draping and fitting will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / CorelDRAW or similar design tools.
- Strong attention to detail and aesthetics.
- Ability to convert an idea or mood board into an actual garment.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup/fashion-brand environment.
- A solid fashion portfolio is mandatory.
